Ian Wright burgled: World Cup pundit lands back in UK after wife and kids burgled at knifepoint
Former England international Ian Wright has arrived back in the UK after flying home from the World Cup to be with his family who were burgled at knifepoint.
The pundit landed at Heathrow airport this afternoon after being told four men armed with knives had forced their way into his home in north-west London last night, and held his wife and two daughters in a terrifying raid.
The gang are thought to have held a blade to his wife Nancy's throat, and shouted "punch her, kill her!", as well as threatening to slice off his children’s fingers if Nancy didn't hand over cash and jewellery.
They got away with a number of personal possessions and jewellery.
Before boarding a flight from Brazil last night Ian, 50, tweeted: "You won't get away with it", and was said this morning to be "really upset and angry'.
His spokeswoman said earlier today he would go straight from the airport to see his family, and added: "Nancy is really shaken up. Their kids are so young that hopefully they aren't going to read into it too much. They are all physically OK - Nancy and the kids.
"Ian is just really upset and angry and just wants to come back and be with his family at this time."
